Description

In 1955, Physio-Control was incorporated by Seattle based cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Edmark who developed the prototype ‘breadboard’ DC defibrillator.

In 2002, the LifePak CR Plus launched as the fully automatic defibrillator.

Physio Control was acquired by Stryker in 2016. The LifePak CR Plus AED has been deemed "end of life" and discontinued by the manufacturer.

In 2016, the LifePak CR2 defibrillator was launched for sale in Europe, followed by approval in 2019 in the United States. The LifePak CR2 can be ordered in a variety of configurations including single or dual language, semi-automatic or fully-automic, and with a handle or with a case. The CR2 can also be ordered in a wifi-enabled configuration or not, known as the USB configuration.
