FAQs

Is my place of business legally required to have an AED?

AEDs in offices and businesses are increasingly becoming a “standard of care.” While all businesses should have an AED, legal requirements vary from state to state.

Certain states have specific requirements for AEDs in the workplace and require one based on the square footage or maximum occupancy of a space. Particularly high-risk settings for SCA, such as healthcare facilities, gyms, schools, or airports, are more likely to require these lifesaving devices.

It’s important to consult local laws, occupational safety guidelines, and building codes to determine if your office or place of work is legally required to have an AED. Having an AED prioritizes not only the safety and well-being of your employees, but of all of the customers, visitors, and guests who walk through the doors. Accessible AEDs are critically important to boost chances of survival in the likely event that cardiac arrest strikes at your office or place of work. Loss of life to SCA is preventable, and having an AED on-site can literally save a person’s life. Which AED provides the best value for its price?

The AED that provides the best value for its price is the one that minimizes the Total Cost of Ownership, or TCO. The TCO takes into account not only the initial purchase price of the device (between $1,275- $3,400), but the cost of battery replacements, electrode pad replacements, and any other supplies required to maintain the operability of the device-including time

With the Avive Connect AED, Avive provides a fully featured AED and comprehensive response system for a much more affordable price. Its rechargeable battery and universal electrode pads help save time and money over the course of ownership. As well, Avive has streamlined cost and provides TWO affordable ways to purchase the next-generation AED.  Why should I consider buying the Avive Connect AED™?

The Avive Connect AED takes proven defibrillation technology and expands its benefits to the masses with first-of-its-kind capabilities. It is the smallest, lightest, FDA-approved AED on the market today, and it is also the first FDA approved AED product with Cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity. These features enable wireless communication for daily AED monitoring and notifications, bi-directional communication with 911, and rapid transfer of valuable incident data from the AED.

Here are a few stand-out features that separate the Avive Connect AED from the rest:

  • Packed with Cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS
  • EverCharge Battery™: The industry’s first and only embedded rechargeable battery that never needs to be replaced
  • Universal Electrode Pads: Designed for safe use on both children and adults
  • Training Adaptability: Easily convert your Avive Connect AED into a training device

Call us to learn more about our features. 1 (866) 972-3508. Is it safe to use an AED by a pool or wet environment?

Yes, it is safe to use your AED by a pool, beach, or other wet environment. However, it’s important to take precautions to protect the yourself and the person you are treating. Remove the person from water and move them to a dry area, take off wet clothing, and dry off the person’s chest before applying the AED’s electrode pads.  Is it good to have an AED at home?

Over 70% of Sudden Cardiac Arrests (SCA) happen in the home. Having an AED at home is a proactive and potentially lifesaving decision. If your device is easily portable, your protection can extend beyond the four walls of your house. By having an AED readily available at home, you can provide immediate defibrillation to a family member or neighbor experiencing SCA.

Weighing just 2.1 pounds, the Avive Connect AED is the smallest, lightest FDA approved AED, designed to be taken with you on the go. The affordable pricing model of the Avive AED makes it so that individuals and families can feasibly afford to safeguard their neighborhoods and families by having devices in the home.

SCA can happen to anyone, at any time, from youth to the elderly.
