At Avive Solutions, we’re dedicated to increasing survival rates for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest with our Avive Connect AED and a commitment to ongoing technological advancements. Since 2021, we’ve teamed up with RapidSOS to work towards innovative solutions that help boost bystander intervention, shorten defibrillation times, and save lives. We’re thrilled to share that our Avive Connect AEDs now come with the new QuickRescue technology to further support this mission!

We created QuickRescue to ensure that emergency services are made aware of active emergencies as soon as possible, even if the rescuer hasn’t yet called 911. QuickRescue also helps share important details about the rescue in progress. Our goal is to speed up emergency care and improve survival rates for out-of-hospital cardiac arrests.

How does Avive’s QuickRescue work?

QuickRescue is a feature that can be toggled on or off depending on owner preferences. When QuickRescue is enabled, and once the AED’s electrode pads are placed and the first rhythm  analysis is completed, 911 will automatically be notified about the cardiac arrest. 911 Emergency Communication Centers (ECCs) will then receive the device’s location and contextual information about the event that is taking place. This information includes the location, event timeline, number of shocks delivered, patient status, incident ID, and more. 911 is able to share this data with the dispatched first responders, allowing them to have a clearer understanding of the patient status and care needs as they are arriving on-scene and administering care.

Is QuickRescue a replacement for calling 911?

QuickRescue is not a replacement for calling 911, but it’s here to save precious time and help get EMS to the scene of a sudden cardiac arrest quickly. This technology is designed to provide 911 centers and first responders with valuable details from the scene to improve survival chances. We know that calling 911 can be stressful, and not everyone has medical expertise or support. QuickRescue helps ensure that the right information is shared, giving rescuers peace of mind and boosting the chances that the patient gets quick, informed care.

Will QuickRescue work without cellular or Wifi service?

The Avive Connect AED is ready to help in an emergency, no matter if you have Wi-Fi or cellular service. The device’s lifesaving therapy will work even without connectivity. However, QuickRescue can only contact 911 and send reliable information if the device is within cellular or GPS range. The QuickRescue feature must be enabled on an updated device and will be ready to use in an emergency.

How can I access QuickRescue on my Avive Connect AED?

Avive’s QuickRescue will automatically become available for owners to Enable as long as their REALConnect subscription is active. Avive Connect AEDs are able to receive remote software updates when they become available, making each subscribed device the most up-to-date as possible without having to replace the unit. Similar to our Location Services and PIN Code features, QuickRescue can be turned on and off depending on owner preferences.

Be sure to stay up-to-date with your REALConnect Management Platform and call 1 (800) 489- 4428 for any questions about annual renewals.

Avive’s commitment to improving survival rates from cardiac arrests.

Avive’s QuickRescue technology represents a groundbreaking advancement in our commitment to enhancing survival rates for out-of-hospital cardiac arrests. This innovative system can automatically notify emergency services and provide them with real-time AED data as soon as an analysis is completed. By delivering crucial information directly to Emergency Communication Centers, QuickRescue helps to streamline the response process and ensure timely care.

Recognizing the high stress and potential confusion that comes with calling 911, especially for those without medical training or immediate support, QuickRescue was designed to address these challenges head-on. With this advancement, vital medical details can now be shared along the chain of care, and offer guidance to the caller, all while accelerating care for the patient.

Our mission is to equip individuals with dependable life-saving tools and improving survival rates for sudden cardiac arrest. We believe that QuickRescue makes a significant leap toward achieving this goal by integrating advanced technology with practical support!
