“I have zero doubts about my employees using Avive AEDs. It makes sure that nothing gets missed, which is a huge thing in high-stress situations.”

Goodwill North Central Texas

Autumn Harold, Manager of Safety and Asset Protection at Goodwill North Central Texas (NCT), is well-versed in emergency response. With a background in nursing, law enforcement, and fire department volunteering, as well as a degree in Occupational Safety and Health, her career has uniquely equipped her to manage safety and asset protection across more than 40 Goodwill NCT locations.
When Autumn saw an advertisement for the Avive Connect AED® on LinkedIn, shared by a colleague, she quickly recognized it as the ideal device for her stores, especially considering some of their specific geographic challenges. She has since been able to deploy 10 Avive Connect AEDs, strategically placing them in her store in more rural locations that are more than 10 minutes away from the nearest hospital. The Avive Connect AED’s features, accessibility, design and 911 integration give Autumn confidence in her employees and bystanders to effectively use the device, making this rural store location placement decision clear. Each store has 10-15 employees on-site each day, with roughly 100 store customer visitors per day.
Autumn has trained all store managers under her supervision on how to use the Avive Connect AEDs. She remotely monitors the health of every device through the REAL Connect™ platform, enabling her to quickly receive notifications if any maintenance is required. This streamlined system frees up her time to focus on broader employee safety initiatives.
In her own words, Autumn explains how the Avive Connect AED has addressed many of the challenges she faced with previous models, highlighting how it has helped her build confidence in a device that anyone, at any time, can use in her stores.
“Finally! An AED that doesn’t look like a piece of hospital equipment. It’s not intimidating, meaning more people are going to feel comfortable using it and will go to it.”
