What’s Changed
The Device Connectivity Software 2.3 update for the Avive Connect AED® contains improvements to extend the life of your device’s Screen & Internet Connectivity battery. This update also makes checking for future software updates easier with a Check for Updates button that displays on screen. Rest assured, remote software updates will still happen automatically. The new button simply makes it easier for you check for software updates on-demand and ensure your device is operating on the latest version.
New Features
- Check for Updates Button: New button added to the Software Menu item on your Avive Connect AED, so you can request the latest software on-demand.
- Power Bank Mode: Added Power Bank Mode to support the use of the Avive Portable Power Bank accessory. NOTE: Power Bank Mode is a function you should only enable if you are using your device with the Avive Portable Power Bank.

Improvements
- Battery Life Extension: Your battery life just got an upgrade. This software update will increase the battery life of your Avive Connect AED to 8-12 Months. Devices that stay connected to Wi-Fi will see the most substantial gains in battery performance.
- Software Update Reliability: We’ve made the process for downloading software updates to your Avive Connect AEDs more reliable. Device software updates will now download faster and take up less battery life during the process.
Who’s Impacted
All existing customers with an active REALConnect Services Subscription will receive the latest software updates for their devices – including the battery life extension and new Check for Updates button. Customers who are interested in purchasing the Avive Portable Power Bank and enabling Power Bank Mode should contact support@avive.life or give us call at 1 (800) 489 – 4428.
Why You’d Use It
The new Check for Updates button now makes it easier for you to know whether or not your device is operating on the latest software version. Avive’s remote software updates provide you with new features and device capabilities regularly, so it’s important to be able to quickly check for any available updates and ensure you are on the latest software.
Please note, your device will automatically check for and receive any new software updates that are available during your device’s nightly self test – you do not need to manually press this button to receive new software updates. The Check for Updates button simply allows you to check and make sure you’re on the latest software. It also enables you to request the latest download immediately if there is an update available instead of waiting for the nightly self-test.
Power Bank Mode should only be turned ON if you are using the Avive Portable Power Bank accessory.
