What’s Changed

The Device Connectivity Software 2.0 update for the Avive Connect AED® gives the user interface an upgrade – inspired by other tech products that you likely use on a daily basis. The new visuals streamline the navigation on the Home screen with three simple buttons.

New Features

• PIN Code Settings: PIN Code settings allow you to enable an Organization-wide PIN Code in your REALConnect Platform™ that applies to each of your devices. When set, this will require that a user enter a 6-digit PIN Code on the Connect screen prior to modifying any device settings (i.e. Power Mode, Wi-Fi network, etc.).

Improvements

• New Look & Feel: Your device has an updated look, making information easier to find and actions, such as connecting to Wi-Fi, easier to perform. While the Training button was removed from the Home screen, you can still use your device in Training Mode by simply inserting an Avive AED Training Cartridge.
• Battery Life: Battery life improvements and enhancements were made to improve the reliability of firmware updates for your device.

Who’s Impacted

This software update is available for all existing customers. Users with Administrator permissions in REALConnect can utilize the new PIN Code settings feature for their fleet of Avive Connect AEDs. This software update was designed to make the menu items easier to navigate on the device’s screen.

TIP: To make sure all the Avive Connect AEDs in your fleet receive these updates quickly, ensure they are fully charged (or plugged into their chargers) and connected to Wi-Fi. Devices that are charging and connected to Wi-Fi generally receive software updates quickly when compared to devices using cellular connectivity or those with lower battery levels.

Why You’d Use It

Avive’s PIN Code Settings offers an added level of security for REALConnect Administrators to manage the settings across their entire fleet of Avive Connect AEDs. Setting a PIN Code prevents unauthorized changes from being made to the Wi-Fi network or Power Modes being used.
