REALConnect™ 12.0 release — more insight into the health of your AEDs
What’s changed
The latest release of REALConnect introduces several exciting new features aimed at giving you more insight into the health of your Avive Connect AED®s and more control over the notifications you receive from the platform. With an intuitive new Dashboard, updated Device States, and more notification options, keeping track of your Avive Connect AEDs and managing your lifesaving AED program just got easier.
New features
New Dashboard Page: Your dashboard page has a new look and feel, and we’ve put the important information you want to see front and center. We’ve added the ability to toggle between a Map or List view, filter by new Issue Types and Device States, and more.
New Device States: We listened to your feedback, and sought to make it more clear when your devices are ready to use in an emergency and when they need manual attention. We’ve also added a dedicated Training Mode state, so you can easily see when training is in session.

New Issue Types and Upcoming Issues: We’ve replaced the “At Risk” Device State with more detailed Issue Types, making it easier to pinpoint exactly what your devices need. Upcoming Issues now notify you in advance about a low Screen & Connectivity Battery or expiring Pad Cartridges to help you stay ahead of the curve.

Enhanced AED Detail Page: The updated AED Detail Page brings a sleek, user friendly interface with even more remote insight into your devices. You now have easier access to information like:
- Whether or not a device is actively charging
- Screen & Connectivity Battery range
- Pad Cartridge expiration date
- Recent Incident history
New Help Center Resources: Resolving device Issues has never been easier. Now, you can contact Avive Customer Support from REALConnect and access relevant Avive Help Center articles linked from your platform.
Improvements
Updated Manager Permissions: Managers can now enable Lost Mode and Refresh Location on their assigned AEDs. We’ve made an improvement to enhance your Organization’s privacy and ensure Managers cannot view the Users Page. Instead, Managers are only able to view information for the AEDs they oversee.
More customizable notifications: Tailor your notification preferences by opting in to receive specific alerts, and opt out of those you don’t need. Simply visit your Profile Page in REALConnect to update your settings.
Collapsable Side Menu: We’ve streamlined your side panel to give you more space on the Dashboard Page. Plus, we’ve added a link to the Avive store at the bottom for easy access to new products and accessories.
Who’s impacted
All existing users will benefit from the new features and improvements included in the REALConnect 12.0 release. All user types can now further customize their notification preferences and Administrators and Managers can access more detailed information on the Dashboard and AED Detail Pages.
If your REALConnect subscription is inactive, you will see a paywall displayed when trying to log in to your account. To reinstate your REALConnect subscription, reach out to Avive Customer Support at 1 (800) 489 -4428 or email support@avive.life.

The updates in REALConnect 12.0 allow you to better tailor the software to suit the needs of your AED program.
Refreshed Dashboard Page: The new Dashboard Page provides you with a clearer overview of the status of your fleet to help ensure timely maintenance if needed. It’s easier to sort and filter your fleet by Issue Type and Device State so you can hone in on which devices need your attention.
New Device States: Gain clearer insights into your AED’s health and maintenance needs with the updated Device States. We’ve added more descriptive Issue Types to REALConnect so you can quickly get your devices back to an Emergency Ready state.
Enhanced Notification Preferences: Administrators, Managers, and Responders gain enhanced control through customizable notifications. Now you can opt in to receive texts or emails for any Issue Type your device may experience, and you can opt out of notifications you no longer want to receive. Pro tip: Add a mobile phone number to your Profile and opt in to text message notifications for any device Issue Type.
New Help Center Resources: We’ve made it easier for you to quickly resolve device Issues with helpful explanatory text from the REALConnect Platform. We’ve also added links to Help Center resources that provide you with step by step troubleshooting instructions if your device requires any kind of manual attention
