Michael Nevares

Mike serves as Vice President of Quality at Avive and brings 25+ years of experience in the medical device industry, with a successful track record of creating, implementing and managing medical devices quality systems, building successful teams, developing people, delivering results, and helping to lead new technologies and companies from start-up to large scale successful businesses (including being part of two $1 Billion acquisitions). Prior to joining Avive, Mike held multiple Quality and Regulatory leadership positions, most recently as VP of Quality & Regulatory for NeoTract (acquired by Teleflex). Mike has also served in various QARA leadership roles with Ventus Medical, AngioScore, Abbott Diabetes Care, TheraSense (acquired by Abbott), and Baxter-Novacor.

Fun Fact

• Founded and runs an annual charity golf tournament for local hospice care.  The SLO Golf Trip was established in 1993 and is still running strong, bringing together 60-90 guys each year to meet in San Luis Obispo to raise money for Hospice of the East Bay.
• Is a diehard San Francisco 49er fan… been attending games since Jim Plunkett and Steve DeBerg where the quarterbacks all the way through the dynasty years of Joe Montana and Steve Young.
• In his free time enjoys perfecting his pizza oven cooking skills with his outdoor wood fired pizza oven… cooking pizzas and a whole lot more.
