Topher Croddy

Topher serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Avive, where he is responsible for the Finance and Accounting functions. Prior to joining the team, Topher was most recently the Corporate Controller for NeoTract, a med-tech company which successfully developed a minimally invasive device to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Topher also served as Corporate Controller of Oclaro, a NASDAQ listed manufacturer of optical networking equipment. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from California State University, Hayward and earned his CPA license working for Arthur Andersen in Silicon Valley.

Fun Fact

• Lived the dream on his catamaran sailboat for over three years, sailing 6,000 nautical miles around the Caribbean with his wife and teenage son while listening to way too many Jimmy Buffett and Zac Brown songs to count.
• Has a passion for traveling and has journeyed to all seven continents. Sailed a tall ship to Antarctica, where he once scrambled 30 meters up the rigging above a raging sea off Cape Horn to furl in the highest sails during a storm.
• Enjoys building projects including bathroom remodels, building decks and making an excessive number of trips to Home Depot and Lowes. His favorite tools are his Makita cordless drill and his double compound miter saw.
