Employee Spotlight with Golda Cenadoza: Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

In this edition, meet Golda Cenadoza, a dedicated Quality Specialist who plays a vital role in ensuring all of our products meet the highest standards of excellence and quality. As an FDA-approved Class III medical device, our Avive AED™ is compliant with rigorous standards upheld by the Food and Drug Administration, and Golda played a crucial part in Avive’s acquisition of FDA approval, awarded back in October of 2022. 

With her unwavering commitment to quality and meticulous attention to detail, Golda has become an invaluable asset to our team. Join us as we delve into her journey with a series of interview-style questions.

How long have you been with Avive? How did you first get involved? 

I have been with Avive since February 2019, and it’s been an incredibly fulfilling time with the company. I got involved with Avive while looking for opportunities to transition from Manufacturing in the Medical Device Industry to Quality Assurance.

As a Quality Specialist at Avive, what does your role entail? 

Loads of documentation and working with departments cross functionally to implement and maintain compliant standard operating systems!

What was your first job?

Assistant swim instructor for youth swim clinics!

How would you describe the team you work with at Avive?

I work with a dynamic team of people that work hard, never shy away from challenges and supports each other through open communication and appreciation of different perspectives.

What is something about Sudden Cardiac Arrest or AEDs that you wish more people knew? 

 What is a favorite project you’ve enjoyed working on with Avive?

Early on, I was part of the team who researched product labeling requirements. I enjoyed working with Regulatory experts and the Research and Development team to understand labeling requirements from the compliance side and marry them with product/operational needs.

What is your favorite part of working at Avive?

What I like about Avive is that we have no limits. Maybe projects take time, but whatever you ask for, gets done. And whatever ideas you have for something are always considered. AND, the delivery is always more than what you’ve asked for.

There’s also a good balance here between work and celebration! I also like the new tradition of Thursday Happy Hours!

What do you do for fun outside of work?

Outside of work I like going on solo adventures and meeting new people! I like going to museums–recently I saw Kehinde Wiley’s exhibit at the SF Moma and really loved it!

I like to take long walks, connect with friends, and DREAM! I’m always dreaming up my next side project.

If you weren’t a Quality Specialist, what would you be doing?

I would be a Filipino Historian!

What inspires you?

Smiles, kindness, long walks in nature and poetry.
