Choosing a portable AED provides a number of advantages related to mobility, accessibility, versatility, and use. Your Avive Connect AED is still usable in the event of an emergency regardless of whether you have access to Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity. The lifesaving therapy of your AED will work regardless of your connectivity status or lack thereof.

The AED will not check in or sync its location status with the REALConnect Platform or send incident data reports if used until Wi-Fi or cellular is available.

Learning to use an AED is simple and it gives people the confidence to know how to respond during a cardiac arrest emergency. In the United States, there is a lack of public awareness around cardiac arrest and AEDs, demonstrated by low rates of bystander CPR and AED use.

Every location is different, so there’s no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. However, here are a few guidelines to follow when deciding where to place your AED:

• Make sure your AED’s placement is such that the device is noticeable and easily accessible by any bystander. AEDs in a locked cabinet or desk drawer in an office will do nobody any good!
• Strategically place the device(s) such that an AED is always accessible within a two minute brisk walk from anywhere in your facility
