Oregon State AED Law
High school students in Oregon must complete CPR and AED training before graduation, and state legislation requires AED placement in all public and private schools.

Summary of Requirements
Physician | A prescription from a licensed physician is required. |
CPR/AED Training | A large number of employees as a facility that has one or more Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) must receive training in the use of an AED and CPR to be sure that at least one employee who is properly trained is present during regular business hours. |
EMS Notification | No legislation is currently in place for Oregon. |
Maintenance Program | An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) must be maintained, inspected, and serviced in accordance with guidelines from the manufacturer. The AED must also be stored and clearly marked in a location which can be quickly accessed during normal business hours. |
Notification of Use | A policy must be in place at every location that has an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to call EMS as soon as possible after the use of an AED is recognized. |
