Avive Adds Dr. Ricardo Martinez to Medical Advisory Board

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – (January 3, 2019) – Avive Solutions, Inc. , a leading developer of a next-generation Automated External Defibrillator (AED) addressing the global public health issue of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), today announced that Dr. Ricardo Martinez has joined the Company’s Medical Advisory Board.

Dr. Martinez is a nationally recognized emergency physician who has practiced emergency medicine clinically for more than 30 years and held senior roles in business, academia, and the federal government.

Currently, Dr. Martinez is the Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Adeptus Health, a leading patient-centered healthcare services company that is also the parent company of the largest freestanding emergency-room network in the U.S. – First Choice Emergency Room. Before joining Adeptus, Dr. Martinez served as the Executive Vice President of Medical Affairs for the Schumacher Group, a leading emergency medicine practice management company, and was also appointed Federal Administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) by President Clinton. Finally, he has been a senior medical advisor to the National Football League since 1988, facilitating medical care, emergency planning, preparedness, and public health for The Super Bowl.
